If you’ve heard of SecurityLab you likely heard of our charismatic founder Ejovi Nuwere who’s passion for computer security was well documented in his autobiography Hacker Cracker.
With a early start in computer security at the age of 15 Ejovi has worked as a developer for the secure operating system OpenBSD, audits code for the largest software companies and government agencies and is constantly on the lecture circuit teaching executives around the world about the importance of auditing and education in a secure environment.
Ejovi who started as a developer later went on to join the security group at Lehman, Core-SDI and @Stake before finally founding Securitylab as a consultancy in 2003. Since then he’s expanded the company to include information and auditing products.
In 2007 Ejovi’s brother Jevon officially joined the company as head of consulting services following in his older brother’s footsteps in what has begun a family tradition for computer security expertise.
“When I founded the company, I believed and still do, that we are the trusted link between executives and the knowledge they need to protect themselves. It’s a critical role that can’t be taken likely. So we’ve tried to purposely stay small.”
